FAQ
Questions authors actually ask.
Straight answers about the process, the fit, and what happens before any project is proposed.
What exactly do you do for authors?+
I work as a Book Growth Strategist and Author Assistant. I study the book, its readers, positioning, and current visibility, then recommend the most useful next move. Depending on the opportunity, that may lead to research, positioning, campaign creative, promotional assets, audiobook support, or practical author assistance.
Do you work with traditionally published authors?+
Yes. The starting point is the book and its growth question, not the publishing route.
Do you work with self-published authors?+
Yes. Independent and self-published authors often benefit from having one strategic view across positioning, presentation, discovery, and day-to-day execution.
Do you work with nonfiction and fiction?+
Yes. The analysis changes with the book: a novel may depend on atmosphere, promise, and reader emotion, while nonfiction may need a sharper articulation of relevance and value.
Do you work with audiobooks?+
Yes. Audiobook work can include strategic presentation, visual materials, promotional storytelling, and discovery pathways. The exact role is agreed after reviewing the project.
What happens before you recommend a project?+
I first review the book, available materials, intended reader, goals, and current position. Recommendation comes after insight—not before it.
Do I need to know exactly what service I need?+
No. You can begin with the book and the problem as you currently understand it. The strategy helps determine what should happen next.
How does the process work?+
The core progression is Insight → Opportunity → Recommendation → Alignment → Action. Once a project is agreed, execution moves through creative development, production, review, refinement, and delivery.
How long does a project take?+
Timing depends on the scope, number of deliverables, review stages, and the condition of the available materials. A realistic timeline is included in the proposal before work begins.
What do you need from an author?+
Usually: the book or relevant extract, book information, existing visual or promotional assets, links, goals, timing, and any context that could affect the work.
Do you handle the creative development?+
That depends on the agreed direction and scope. If creative development is needed, the deliverables and review process will be defined clearly before production.
Can you work with authors internationally?+
Yes. The work can be organized remotely through shared materials, clear communication, and agreed review points.
How much does it cost?+
Investment depends on the opportunity, project scope, creative requirements, timeline, and level of development involved. I do not recommend a generic package before understanding the book.
How do I begin?+
Use the contact page to share the book, its current stage, and what you want it to accomplish. That gives me the context to suggest a useful next conversation.
Still unsure where your book stands?
Start with the book, not a service. Share where it is and what you want it to accomplish.
